City events call for vendors, artists, community groups and talent

The City of Thunder Bay is looking for food vendors, product and service vendors, artists, artisans, and community groups for the city’s annual events series.

THUNDER BAY – The City of Thunder Bay is inviting food vendors, product and service vendors, artists, artisans, and community groups to apply to participate at the city’s annual events series. An open call for Talent is also available for the upcoming season.

Various participation opportunities include over 22 event days, with two major single-day events and two event series. All events are free to the public and collectively draw thousands of attendees.

Annual events include:

  • Kite Festival: June 9 – approximately 4,000 attendees
  • Canada Day on the Waterfront: July 1, evening – approximately 20,000 attendees
  • Teddy Bears Picnic: July 9, afternoon – approximately 4,000 attendees
  • Live on the Waterfront: July 10 to Aug. 28 (Wednesday evenings) – approximately 3,500 attendees/week
  • Movie Nights on the Waterfront: Aug. 16, 17, 23, 24, 30, 31 – approximately 3,000 attendees/week
  • Thunder Bay Youth Arts Showcase: May 1 - 7 – approximately 1,000 attendees
  • Culture Days: Sept. 28 – approximately 2,000 attendees
  • SnowDay on the Waterfront: Feb. 17, 2020 – approximately 10,000 attendees

The city’s call for talent closes at 4 p.m., on Wednesday, Feb. 27.

The call for food vendors, event vendors, artists, artisans, and community groups closes at 4 p.m. on Friday, March 8.
