The city manager says he's expecting a revised offer soon from CN Rail regarding the James Street swing bridge.
The bridge has now been closed to vehicles for 13 months following a major fire lin October of 2013.
City manager Tim Commisso said he's been staying in touch with CN's vice-president of Corporate Services Ollivier Chouc.
Their latest discussion was in late November when Chouc indicated a revised offer for repairing the bridge and reopening it to vehicles was forthcoming.
There was no timeframe mentioned but Commisso said he believes the offer will be worth sharing with city council.
Officials from CN were unable to comment on the situation Wednesday.
