Michael Smith, who has spent the past 10 years with the City of Waterloo, will also oversee the operation of corporate facilities, fleet services, construction and renovation projects when he takes over the role on Sept. 6.

Smith is at present the director of asset management with the City of Waterloo, having previously held the positions of director of facility services and manager of the Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex.
