THUNDER BAY - The Ontario Energy Board has issued a rate order for Thunder Bay Hydro that will result in a decrease – albeit it a very small one – in customers' monthly bills.
The city utility says the estimated charge for a typical residential customer with an average monthly consumption of 750 kWh will fall by .27 per cent, or 30 cents.
Thunder Bay Hydro says the local distribution charge that it collects will actually increase by $3.40 a month. However, changes in other parts of the bill will offset the increase by about $3.70.
The changes are retroactive to October 1 and follow an OEB review of Hydro's rate application.
Details about the application process and the outcome are available on the OEB website via a link from the Thunder Bay Hydro website rate pages.
