City jobless rate holds steady: StatsCan

The city continues to boast one of the province’s lowest unemployment rates. Stats Canada released new numbers Friday that show Thunder Bay’s jobless rate remained steady last month at 6.2 per cent from July.

Stats Canada released new numbers Friday that show Thunder Bay’s jobless rate remained steady last month at 6.2 per cent from July.

Only Ottawa has better numbers in Ontario.

Across the country, unemployment numbers rose slightly to 7.3 per cent in August. In July, Canada held a 7.2 per cent jobless rate.
