A Thunder Bay man who was the subject of a Canada-wide warrant this past summer has been sentenced to four years behind bars.
Arthur Joseph Lyons, 62, was arrested on Aug. 12 in connection with an incident involving an eight-year-old girl. On Wednesday Lyons pleaded guilty to charges of sexual interference and breach of probation.
He was on probation for a previous sexual offense against a child.
Lyons has already been in custody for more than three months, and he'll serve the remainder of the four-year sentence in a federal penitentiary.
He's also been given a lifetime ban on using Internet sites, or attending playgrounds or other places where children may be present.
