City names acting GM of corporate services, long-term care

The City of Thunder Bay has named Rob Colquhoun as its acting general manager of corporate services and long-term care.

The City of Thunder Bay has named Rob Colquhoun as its acting general manager of corporate services and long-term care.

In his new role Colquhoun will also fulfill the duties of chief financial officer and city treasurer, taking over the role vacated earlier this month by the retirement of former CFO Carol Pollard.

“We are pleased to have Rob step up in this interim role,” said city manager Norm Gale on Monday in a release issued by the municipality.

“As the director of revenue and extensive experience within municipal finance, Rob has proven financial leadership and will be an asset as the city moves forward into the 2016 budget deliberations.”

Born and raised in Thunder Bay, Colquhoun is a business and accounting graduate from Lakehead University. He began working for the city in 1987.

The search for a permanent replacement for Pollard is under way.
