City offering 12 days of free parking

On-street parking will be no cost for up to two hours between Dec. 14 and Christmas Day.

THUNDER BAY -- The City of Thunder Bay is offering up free on-street parking over the holidays in order to promote shopping local.

Motorists can park at city metres at no cost for up to two hours between Dec. 14 and Christmas Day.

"This is a special holiday parking promotion to help support downtown merchants and encourage shopping local," reads a post published on the city's Facebook page.

"Parkades are not included."
