City police busy with over 300 calls last weekend

Police were kept busy this weekend with hundreds of calls for service
TBPS

THUNDER BAY — City police were kept busy this weekend with a total of 302 calls for service.

Of the 302 calls, police detail that 18 of them were related to intimate partner violence, 11 were for missing person cases, and another 11 were called related to the Mental Health Act.

Police indicate that despite the high volume of calls this weekend, only nine people were brought into custody.

The service reminds the public to enjoy the summer weather, and if they do need emergency services, the police service is just a three-digit phone call away.
