City police looking for suspicious vehicle after incident with teen

THUNDER BAY -- City police are looking for a man who offered a ride to a 16-year-old girl Thursday morning. Officials with the Thunder Bay Police Service say the girl was waiting for a school bus just before 9 a.m. on Market Street by East Avenue.

Officials with the Thunder Bay Police Service say the girl was waiting for a school bus just before 9 a.m. on Market Street by East Avenue. Police say a car pulled up and a male driver rolled down the window to ask if she needed a ride.

The girl did not respond and the vehicle drove away.

Police were contacted after the youth returned home.

The vehicle is described as a small red car with tinted windows.

The driver is described as a Caucasian man approximately 30 years old with blonde hair. There was another man and a woman passenger in the car at the time of the incident.

Police say the vehicle was last seen heading towards Dawson Road.
