According to numbers released by Statistics Canada, Thunder Bay has the second lowest unemployment rate in the country.
Stats Can numbers show that the city’s jobless rate in June was down to about 5.2 per cent, down slightly compared to May’s 5.4 per cent. Only Regina, with an unemployment rate of about 4.3, has a lower jobless rate.
Ontario’s average unemployment rate is about 8.3 per cent.
National jobless figures dropped slightly in June to about 7.9 per cent from 8.1.
