THUNDER BAY – The City of Thunder Bay likely won’t like many of the responses they receive, but give them credit for asking.

On Friday, city officials announced the municipality is seeking input on roads maintenance standards, asking the public to weigh in on road, sidewalk and drainage infrastructure maintenance, as well as winter operations, through an online survey.

In a release, the city says it plans to revise its maintenance quality and performance standards for its roads section.

“The standards set clear guidelines for services to maintain, repair and replace the city’s roads and sidewalks,” the release reports.

“For example, they outline the conditions necessary for when snowplows are deployed  as well as how often roads are swept.”

The survey will be available until April 30.
