The City of Thunder Bay has wrapped up its public information sessions regarding some proposed bus service improvements.

Transit officials say rider feedback has been positive.

City transit plans to make changes to five bus routes later this summer. Over the last couple of days, the public was invited to two information sessions to give their input.

Planning and Marketing Analyst Jon Hendel say passengers were looking for more connectivity within the city.

He says following the sessions, there are some very minor route amendments they'll consider. But for the most part, people are happy with the proposals.

Hendel says passengers can still give their feedback online.  Once the finalized changes are complete, they'll have printed maps and schedules for riders.

The launch date for the changes will be Aug. 30.
