City’s inflation rate dips slightly in May

THUNDER BAY – The inflation rate for this area dropped in May. New numbers from Statistics Canada show that the inflation rate for the Thunder Bay area was at 1.9 per cent for May, which is down from the 2.2 per cent recorded in April.

New numbers from Statistics Canada show that the inflation rate for the Thunder Bay area was at 1.9 per cent for May, which is down from the 2.2 per cent recorded in April.

That matches the inflation rate for the province, which was 1.9 per cent in May.

Ontario’s inflation rate in April was 2.1 per cent.

Across Canada, the average rate of inflation was about 1.5 per cent.
