Most of the province will be switching from Eastern Standard Time to daylight saving time this weekend. The time officially jumps ahead one hour at 2 a.m. Sunday.

The Thunder Bay Fire and Rescue Service is also asking residents to use the time change as a reminder to change the batteries in their smoke detectors.
