Clown masked suspect robs Longlac cab driver at gunpoint

GREENSTONE, Ont. -- A suspect wearing a clown mask allegedly robbed a taxi driver at gunpoint in Longlac.

Provincial police said the armed robbery happened just after midnight on Wednesday, when the driver was flagged down on Otter Road by a man wearing blue coveralls and a clown mask.

The suspect produced a firearm and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The man is described as being six-foot-three with a heavy build, deep voice and was wearing blue coveralls with a reflective silver stripe on both sides along with the clown mask.

The OPP's North West Region Crime Unit has started an investigation, with assistanc from the force's Greenstone Community Street Crime Unit.
