The Canadian Coast Guard rescued a 19-year-old-man and his dog after their boat broke down on Lake Superior.
The 19-year-old was reported missing Tuesday afternoon after he failed to return from his fishing trip with friends on the Black Bay Peninsula. Rescuers searched by water and air for the missing boater and after four hours spotted him on an island at Miles Bay.
His boat had broken down and had no way of radioing for help.
The coast guard brought the man and his dog aboard and transported him back to safety in Thunder Bay, where friends were waiting for him to take him home.
