Cold enough for you? Relief on the way … kind of

THUNDER BAY -- Tuesday may have greeted city residents with a crisp -31C morning, but according to Environment Canada there are more comfortable days on the way.

THUNDER BAY -- Tuesday may have greeted city residents with a crisp -31C morning, but according to Environment Canada there are more comfortable days on the way.

The government weather agency’s forecast shows temperatures will begin to normalize starting Wednesday. While Wednesday morning is only expected to deliver a daytime high of -11C it will still represent a 20-degree difference from today Tuesday, which featured a wind chill that made it feel as cold as -38C.

Thursday will likely feature the week’s mildest temperatures, with a daytime high of -2C.

Friday through Sunday isn't’ expected to be as mild as Thursday, but with daytime highs of -9C, -4C and -9C respectively, it will certainly be considered a welcomed changed by most residents.

If the forecast holds up, another mild day is expected to start next week. As of Tuesday morning, Monday was expected to feature  a daytime high of -3C.
