Confederation College is getting ready for its graduation ceremonies scheduled to take place Friday.

More than 1,200 people will receive their diplomas during the convocation ceremonies.

On Thursday morning, more than 250 people gathered to have breakfast with college president Jim Madder, and to listen to his 2012 Report to the Community.

The event was to recognize student accomplishments from the past year and to discuss what the future holds for the College.

Madder spoke about new programs that will be added this coming year.

Community integration through co-operative education is one of those new additions and promises to give people living with intellectual challenges a chance to attend and work in the community as part of a two-year program.

And in 2013, the college will be expanding their aviation program.

Madder credits their strong partnerships for making these programs available.

College officials hope that by adding new programs, it will attract people to stay in the city.
