Collision disrupts traffic near Chippewa Road intersection

THUNDER BAY -- A multi-vehicle collision tied up traffic along a busy stretch of highway on Thunder Bay early Friday afternoon.

Police, fire and paramedics were on scene at the incident, which occurred in the north-bound lane of Highway 61, just beyond the Chippewa Road intersection.

Damage to the vehicles appeared to be minor.

Ontario Provincial Police helped ease the congestion, directing traffic while the investigation was in progress.
