Collision leads to impaired driving charges

OPP charge a 29-year-old with impaired driving following a collision Sunday night.

ATIKOKAN, Ont. – A 29-year-old is facing impaired charges after she was involved in a collision on Highway 11B.

According to a release, Ontario Provincial Police were dispatched on Nov. 10 to a collision on Highway 11B in Atikokan around 7 p.m.

As a result of the investigation, a 29-year-old from Fort William First Nation was charged with impaired operation of a conveyance by drugs or alcohol and impaired operation of a conveyance – 80 or more milligrams of alcohol in 100 milliliters of blood.

The 29-year-old will appear in Atikokan Provincial Court on Jan. 22 to answer to these charges.
