THUNDER BAY -- Community funding is headed to the city's upcoming budget.
City council approved around $2.5 million for 19 cultural and community organizations Monday night. It will now be included in the city's proposed budget, which council begins deliberating next month.
Several councillors raised issues that more funding needs to go to organizations, like Shelter House, that are focused on serving vulnerable populations.
