One of the longest-serving politicians in the Thunder Bay area has passed away.
Conmee councillor Robert Rydholm died this morning at age 93.
Rydholm served the Township for 32 years, both as reeve and councillor.
Current Conmee Reeve Kevin Holland says the entire community is in mourning.
Rydholm was believed to be the oldest serving municipal politician in Ontario, as he was nine months older than Mississauga Mayor Hazel McCallion.
Funeral arrangements are still pending.
