THUNDER BAY – Conquer the Tower, the fundraiser that makes a huge splash, is returning to the Canada Games Complex on Thursday, Nov. 9. The local fundraising event will see business and community representatives take the plunge from the Canada Games Complex diving towers in support of PRO Kids and the Thunder Bay Diving Club.

“We challenge individuals to see if they can face their fears and take the plunge,” said Laura Daniele, PRO Kids Coordinator.

“The event is truly memorable, complete with costumes, as participants put on a brave front and make a jump they will always remember. The Conquer the Tower funds raised go a long way towards supporting PRO Kids and the Thunder Bay Diving Club.”

Businesses can nominate a volunteer who will agree to jump from one of the platforms based on funds raised by their co-workers.

If $300 is raised, they jump from the 3-metre board. If $500 is raised they go off the 5-metre tower. $750 brings them up to the 7.5-metre tower, and $1,000 will send them plunging from the 10-meter tower.

Individuals that find themselves a little too high for their liking can buy their way down for $250 per level. The event also includes an exhibition from the Thunder Bay Diving Club members.

The exhilarating event is once again presented by Levaero Aviation. “I have had the opportunity to see first-hand the difference PRO Kids can make in a child’s life,” said Robert Arnone, Levaero Aviation President/CEO. “Supporting our youth is not an option, it’s our obligation, and we are proud to do our part by sponsoring this fantastic event.”

Last year Conquer the Tower raised $28,889 and saw 17 brave participants take the plunge in support of PRO Kids and the Thunder Bay Diving Club.
