The Ministry of Labour is laying seven charges against a contractor following the death of a Thunder Bay worker last June.

The Ministry of Labour is laying seven charges against a contractor following the death of a Thunder Bay worker last June.

Gustavo Argueta, 24, was operating a bucket-lift at the McKenzie River Bridge when it tipped over causing him to fall 50 feet to the ground.

Ministry officials say Terra North Construction is facing several charges, including not providing proper supervision, failing to ensure the worker was properly trained, and that the equipment was inspected.

A court appearance is set for June 22 in Thunder Bay.
