Council Preview: $1.3M for road and sewer work on the agenda

THUNDER BAY -- More than $1.7 million worth of road and sewer work is heading to city council Monday night.

THUNDER BAY -- More than $1.7 million worth of road and sewer work is heading to city council Monday night.

The first meeting of the year will see council consider putting several projects, with a net cost of around $327,000, into this year's budget.

Those projects include:

  • $427,400 for paving, curb and gutter work on Woodcrest Road between John Street Road and Hutton Park drive with another $273,000 for sidewalks.
  • $309,000 for a storm sewer on Roland Street between William Street and Hewitson Street with another $236,900 for curb and gutter work.
  • $264,5000 for curb and gutter work on Georgina Avenue between Mary Street and Gore Street.
  • $163,400 for a sanitary sewer on Junot Avenue.
  • $94,500 for curb and gutter work on Crawford Place between Mary Street and Nipigon Avenue.
