THUNDER BAY -- City council will meets tonight and face a thinner than usual agenda in a week that will also see budget talks resuming Thursday.
Council is expected to review a number of requests for support.
The Association of Municipalities of Ontario, Rural Municipalities Association, and Lakehead Conservation Authority are all seeking council's support as they lobby the province.
The issues at stake range from securing funding for floodplain mapping, to loosening restrictions on photo radar for police.
Meanwhile, council is also going to be seeking to fill the position of city treasurer.
That position has been vacant since the retirement of long-time treasurer Carol Pollard in December, administration is recommending Rob Calhoun for the job.
He's also the acting general manager for corporate services and long-term care.
