THUNDER BAY-- After a one-week hiatus Thunder Bay city council meets with a light agenda on the table.
One of the main items up for discussion is the state of housing in the city.
Councillors will look at a planning bylaw exemption for a four-unit condominium under construction on John Street Road.
Administration says the condo fits city standards and plans, and that they’re recommending council to approve the exemption.
There's also a memorandum for the intergovernmental affairs committee, which is asking council to support a campaign by the co-operative Housing Federation of Canada.
The Campaign asks the Federal Government to reinvest money from expiring co-op housing deals and into rent-geared-to-income housing.
