A city councillor says Northwestern Ontario's immigration website is sparking international interest in the region.
Coun. Rebecca Johnson on Thursday will be speaking about the website's success at the Northwestern Ontario Associated Chambers of Commerce meeting in Kenora about the immigration portal.
“I’ll be looking at identifying to the business community the necessity of having this portal, and I’ll be looking for their support,” Coun. Johnson said.
Johnson says on average the site gets five to six hits a day.
