THUNDER BAY — An arrest has been made following a robbery over the weekend in the County Park area.
Thunder Bay Police officers were dispatched Saturday evening after a complaint was received about an incident that occurred around 8:15.
A local resident told Newswatch his son was the victim, and that he was accosted while walking on the recreational trail behind County Fair Mall.
Police confirmed an adult male was confronted by multiple individuals, and had various personal items taken.
Responding officers located a suspect nearby.
He attempted to flee, but was arrested after a brief foot pursuit.
The 23-year-old man was charged with robbery, and appeared in court over the weekend.
He was remanded into custody with a future court date.
It is Newswatch policy not to name people facing criminal accusations when we are unlikely to follow the case to its conclusion in the courts.
