THUNDER BAY — Lakehead Public Schools announced Tuesday that a new COVID-19 case has been associated with Westgate Collegiate and Vocational Institute.
The school board said it received notification of the case from the Thunder Bay District Health Unit.
It said in a statement that, due to the fact that students are currently receiving instruction virtually, "no students have risked exposure to the virus."
However the board added that it is actively working with the TBDHU to investigate and manage other potential exposures that may have occurred in the school setting,
It said the full investigation will continue to unfold over the next few days.
