COVID-19 cases in the Thunder Bay district fall below 30

The active case count has only been this low on two occasions since Nov. 14.

THUNDER BAY — The number of active COVID-19 cases in the District of Thunder Bay has fallen below 30, matching the caseload's lowest point since November 14.

The current figure of 29 was also reached on May 11, 2021.

The Thunder Bay District Health Unit on Monday reported three new COVID-19 cases, and the resolution of six previous cases.

Among the new cases, two are the result of close contact with infected individuals, while the other has no known exposure source.

Two cases are in the immediate Thunder Bay area, and the third is in a First Nation community.
