THUNDER BAY – An outbreak of COVID-19 has been declared at the Kwae Kii Win centre, the Shelter House’s managed alcohol program.
The Thunder Bay District Health Unit said in a statement Tuesday afternoon that it had begun an investigation of the outbreak and would take further measures as needed.
The health unit’s statement did not provide further details on the outbreak. TBnewswatch has reached out to the Shelter House for comment.
It's the third outbreak reported this year at a Shelter House facility, after the homeless shelter experienced one in January that infected dozens, and another in February.
