THUNDER BAY -- A two-vehicle crash along Highway 61 near Broadway Avenue sent one person to hospital.
The collision took place sometime before 11 a.m. Friday on the bridge along the busy stretch of highway near the Thunder Bay International Airport. OPP officers redirected traffic toward Neebing Avenue as emergency crews treated patients on scene.
EMS officials at the scene say that one person was taken to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre with non-life threatening injuries.
They added that a child was also involved but only received minor injuries.
Officials with the OPP have so far been unavailable for comment.
