Kenora OPP media release follows:
(KENORA, ON) Members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a female for Impaired Driving.
On Saturday, February 13, 2016 at approximately 1:30 a.m, members were patrolling downtown Kenora and observed a vehicle had just backed into a building on Matheson Street South. Upon speaking to the driver, police determined she had been consuming alcohol.
The building had minimal damage. She was arrested at the scene and was transported to the detachment for further tests.
As a result of the investigation, 32 year old Olivia LAND of Grassy Narrows First Nation has been charged with Impaired Driving contrary to section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC) and Driving with More than 80 mg of Alcohol in Blood contrary to section 253(1)(b)CC.
She is to appear in Kenora Court on March 24, 2016 to answer to the charges.
