Credit union robbed

Police are looking for the man who robbed a north-side credit union at gun-point Friday afternoon. Thunder Bay Police Service officials say a male suspect robbed the Northern Credit Union, located at 697 Red River Road, just before 1:30 p.m.

Police are looking for the man who robbed a north-side credit union at gun-point Friday afternoon.

Thunder Bay Police Service officials say a male suspect robbed the Northern Credit Union, located at 697 Red River Road, just before 1:30 p.m.

The male suspect was armed with a gun when he approached the teller and demanded money, police said.

No one was injured as a result of the robbery, but the man did leave the credit union with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police say the man drove away from the scene in a tan coloured SUV.

Police describe the suspect as being a Caucasian man standing six-feet tall with a medium build. He had dark hair and dark facial hair. He wore a mask and blue cargo pants at the time of the robbery.
