A pedestrian crossover on Simpson Street for clients of the NorWest Community Health Centre could be among municipal capital priorities in 2017.

THUNDER BAY -  The City of Thunder Bay has begun a crossover project on Simpson Street, resulting in a section of the street being closed in front of NorWest Community Health Centre.

Officials at the community health centre said the resulting detour means patients may need more time to park and are advising the public to arrive a few minutes early to compensate.

A completion date has not been set, but the organization welcomes the new crossover, which will make getting to the centre on foot a safer journey.
