Thunder Bay International Airport is welcoming an announcement by a cruise ship operator that it will include a direct flight from the city to a Florida departure port for a Caribbean vacation.
Celebrity Cruises says area residents will be able to fly non-stop to West Palm Beach on a one-day-only departure date, March 31, 2018.
The all-included trip features a seven-day voyage to Cozumel, Puerto Costa Maya, Key West and Grand Cayman.
Partner Canadian North Inc. will provide the round-trip chartered jet service.
Celebrity Cruises launched all-included vacations from various Canadian cities five years ago, and recently added Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton, Regina and Saskatoon as new points of departure.
