Cutfeet pleads guilty to manslaughter

THUNDER BAY – A Kichenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug First Nation woman has pleaded guilty to manslaughter and was sentenced to six years in prison.

Pauline Cutfeet was arrested in March 2016 after 38-year-old Perry Bois of Eabametoong First Nation was found with critical injuries at south-side hotel. He died in hospital.

Cutfeet, originally charged with second-degree murder, was given two years and four months credit for time spent behind bars while awaiting trial.
