THUNDER BAY -- Don’t forget to set your clock ahead before heading to bed or you might find yourself late for an appointment.
Daylight Saving Time officially begins at 2 a.m. Sunday morning, when time springs forward an hour.
Thunder Bay Fire Rescue public education officer Anthony Stokaluk is urging people to use the time change as a reminder to put new batteries in household alarms.
Every ‘time change’ is an opportunity to educate the community about the importance of changing and testing the batteries in their smoke and carbon monoxide alarms,” Stokaluk said in a city issued media release.
“Smoke alarms give you the early detection needed to safely escape a fire and only a carbon monoxide alarm can alert you to the deadly presence of CO.”
