THUNDER BAY -- A fatal vehicle-pedestrian collision in Thunder Bay last summer has resulted in a charge of careless driving against a city resident.
Frank Tropea Sr., 69, died in hospital from injuries he suffered after being struck by an SUV at the Algoma Street/Camelot Street intersection on the evening of July 26.
On Tuesday, the Thunder Bay Police Service announced it had charged a 48-year-old man with careless driving under the Highway Traffic Act.
Police did not release the individual's name, in keeping with their practice in the case of Ontario Highway Traffic Act charges.
