THUNDER BAY -- Work on Cumberland Street could be delayed until next year.
A report is heading to city council Monday night recommending a Cumberland Street Reconstruction project be delayed until 2016.
The project was almost delayed in May when administration recommend that the $674,000 be used instead to make up a budget shortfall on its Golf Links Road project.
Council voted instead to take unallocated gas tax money and part of its Renew Thunder Bay fund so that both projects could go ahead this year.
City staff say they don't feel comfortable commenting on the matter until Wednesday when the report is made public.
