Thunder Bay Development workers narrowly averted a strike after they reached a last minute tentative agreement with Community Living Thunder Bay and Avenue ll Community Program Services.
More than 400 could have hit the picket line as early as Sunday morning but the bargaining teams were able to reach a deal before the strike deadline. Some of the key issues negotiated were wages and improvements for part-time workers.
The bargaining team voted in favour of the new agreements.
