FORT FRANCES – A 40-year-old Devlin resident is facing impaired driving charges.
According to an Ontario Provincial Police release, officers received a report on Dec. 4 around 2 p.m. of a possible impaired driver near the Township of Emo on King’s Highway 11.
An officer located the vehicle near Devlin and conducted a mandatory alcohol screening device on the driver.
The 40-year-old was arrested and charged with operation while impaired – alcohol and drugs and operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus).
The driver's licence was seized and the vehicle was towed.
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 4, 2022.
