Diver in critical condition

A technical diver became unconscious under water at the Judge Hart shipwreck in Lake Superior.

MARATHON, ON - A 52-year-old Burlington, Ont. man is in critical condition following a diving incident at Neys Provincial Park on August 9.

Five males were performing technical dives at the Judge Hart shipwreck when the man experienced problems, became unconscious, and floated to the surface.

After being brought on board where CPR was conducted, he was then transported to shore where further medical treatment was administered by Emergency Medical Services.

The male was transported to a local hospital, then to Thunder Bay, and finally to Burlington, ON where he remains.
