Dougall Media has co-ordinated a fundraising event with the Salvation Army and Intercity Shopping Centre in response to the recent flooding that has impacted hundreds of homeowners in the city.
Dougall Media radio stations including 103.5 The Thunder, 91.5 CKPR and Rock94 will be hosting a 12 hour marathon live broadcast at the Intercity Shopping Centre from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, May 31.
Radio listeners are being encouraged to come to the live broadcast and make monetary donations to the Salvation Army, which is putting the money directly to supplying assistance to those in immediate need.
The Salvation Army has been on site all week with its Soup Van providing food, water and many other items that people need right now.
