Driver charged following two-vehicle crash on John Street

Thunder Bay Police Service officials say a minivan heading westbound on John collided with a truck turning left off Secord Street just before 2 p.m.

The minivan's airbags deployed, and the driver reportedly suffered minor injuries.

The driver of the truck has been charged with failure to yield.

Meanwhile, officers with the Thunder Bay detachment of the OPP continue to investigate a crash that was reported Tuesday evening at the intersection of Balsam Street and the Thunder Bay Expressway.

A transport collided head on with a small car just before 6 p.m., causing considerable damage to the car.

The driver suffered only minor injuries.

OPP officials say no charges have been laid at this point.
