THUNDER BAY -- City police have released new details into a hit-and-run case involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.
Thunder Bay Police Service officials say the incident occurred on Friday, June 20 , and left a 19-year-old pedestrian injured.
Police say the male victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries after being struck by a silver-coloured Volkswagen just after 8 p.m.
Police now say there was a verbal confrontation between the driver of that vehicle and the pedestrian victim before the collision.
The vehicle did not remain at the scene.
Police are now encouraging the driver of the vehicle and the female passenger to come forward to police.
Witnesses or the people involved in the hit-and-run are asked to contact the Thunder Bay Police Service at 684-1200.
