THUNDER BAY — Police in the city stopped a driver after an alert from the automatic license plate reader notified the officer there was a suspended license associated with the vehicle.
While conducting general patrol on Wednesday, the officer stopped the vehicle in question and learned the owner of the vehicle had a suspended license.
However, the driver of the vehicle had their own suspended license condition from a previous stunt driving offence.
The driver claimed to be a mechanic working on the vehicle at the time.
Police charged the 24-year-old city resident for driving with a suspended license and the vehicle was towed and impounded for seven days.
