Driver's vehicle towed, impounded after failing roadside test

(FORT FRANCES, ON) – On June 20, 2015, 2014 at 8:53 p.m. officers of the Rainy River District Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complainant of an erratic driver in Fort Frances, ON.

Officers located the driver in the west end of Fort Frances. After speaking with the driver, determined the driver had been drinking.

The driver Timothy VENNECHENKO, age 62 of Fort Frances failed the roadside test and was subsequently arrested.

The vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded for seven days. The driver was transported to Fort Frances Detachment and subsequently charged with Driving with More than 80 Milligrams of Alcohol in 100 Milliliters of Blood following the results of Breathalyzer tests.

VENNECHENKO will appear in Fort Frances Court on July 27, 2015 to answer to the charge.
